Chapter 29

DOWSING, PENDULUMS, OUIJA BOARD, TAROT CARDS, DIVINATION, SCRYING, PALMISTRY, CHIROMANCY

There are many tools that work as intermediaries between our 3rd-density reality and the 4th density, to gather information; they are often referred to as divination tools. They are not a requirement for getting information from the 4th density, but they are most definitely a means of accessing it. Any beginner and any serious practitioner should take their study and use seriously.

A set of tarot cards is a tool used by witches and magicians to interface with the Akashic Hall of Records. You too, with some practice, can make use of them. The sword symbolizes mental power through single-pointed thought and focus. The wand points to the willpower, determination, and energy necessary to create something new. The cup tells that one has a passionate desire to perform one’s magick, and that one feels love and humility toward the laws of nature. The disk reveals that one is skilled in one’s magick, and that the combination of concentrated thought, desire, willpower, and skill will lead to successful magick. The I Ching is an ancient Chinese oracle that provides an Oriental philosophical perspective, to give insight on situations and problems. “I” means change; “Ching” means book — therefore I Ching means “The Book of Changes.” It is both a book and a method of divination, representing one of humanity’s first efforts to grasp its relationship to nature and society. It is a book of wisdom that illustrates correct and balanced action in a multitude of situations — a chart of changes. The basis of its philosophy is that nothing is static, and that our task is to adjust to the ebbs and flows of change. The I Ching has evolved over the centuries and is a mix of Taoist and Confucian philosophy; possibly the oldest book in existence, its origins date back about 5,000 years, to the time of the ruler Fu Hsi, who was said to have found the eight trigrams that form the sixty-four hexagrams on the shell of a tortoise. Fu Hsi is credited as being the first person to give some order to what was, at the time, an uncivilized culture.

Ouija boards are a form of channeling. Like all other forms of channeling, until you understand how to freely communicate with spirit, you must develop some basic skills. The Ouija board has been around since the time of the Roman Emperor Valens, in the fourth century, and is also thought to have been used by the Greeks since before the time of Christ. It is a form of divination. The modern Ouija board began as a combination of two tools used for scrying: the first was a wheel made up of the letters of the alphabet; the second was a glass, usually a wine glass, inverted and placed in the middle. It was in 1891 that a patent was granted to Elijah J. Bond for the first modern Ouija board; the following year the rights were purchased by William Fuld, and in 1966 Parker Brothers purchased the rights and shifted manufacturing to Salem, Massachusetts. The Ouija board ended up outselling the game of Monopoly in its first full year at Salem, with over two million copies shipped. The layout seems to vary from country to country, and from one production company to another, as makers looked to improve their boards to bring clearer, more detailed messages. The original and best layout appears to place the “Yes” at the top of the circle and the “No” at the bottom, with the letters in a circle — starting with A next to “Yes” and continuing around until Z ends up on the other side of “Yes” — and the numbers one to nine at the bottom, next to the “No.” Many people feel Ouija boards are dangerous to use; it depends on who uses them and the entities they attract. Dysfunctional people will attract dysfunctional entities, and should never use a Ouija board, or channel in any way.

There are many tools to guide the user to the other realms of reality, but ultimately, the real truth is that you do not need any tool at all. They are just tools to guide your subconscious into communicating for you and with you. Your ultimate goal should always be to find the answer within you, without the use of any outside tools. But if you feel the need, then by all means use them; it is a matter of personal choice. If it works for you, use it.

Palmistry is the study of the lines and signs of the hands. Your palm print is the blueprint of your life; it tells everything about you — past, present, future, health, and more. Everything on your palm means something, even the nails and the color tones of the skin. Once a line is on your hand, it does not go away; lines are added throughout your lifetime, due to the electromagnetic changes sent by your brain. New lines generally develop on the dominant hand — the one you write with; the other hand is your destiny, not your past life. Some people have many deep lines, while others have the primary lines plus a few branches extending from them.
